Stuck

In the middle of the madness

Of growing up and moving on

Sick

Of being sober making decisions

From the left brain

Smiling

At the car pulling up to the stop sign

Waving you into the blaring music

Slide

Out from behind expectations

Into the hot glow of sun rays

Sneak

Off into the future of your choosing

Having fun along the way or

Stay

And be all you can for someone else’s self esteem

Graduating into Middle American miseries

So

Stop sign girl, smile and roam

Or whine and stay?
