If you gouged
the eye of
an alligator
the beast
once terrifying
succumbs to the pain-
A Grizzly bear
wild, large and
menacing
submits in anquish
to a piercing bullet’s power-
So must I
Fall
as monsters and man eaters do
If I am
Assaulted
Attacked
And ambushed
By the virus tipped
arrow point
of a fat, flying cherub.
