I would have never thought

had I not seen it with my own two

White denim with a brown blazer

Cotton candy eaten from a spoon-

I would have never guessed

had I not seen with my two eyes

The tiniest rail thin white man

trapped under a big brown thigh-

He wore the blazer and denim

His eyes were soft and sweet

He spooned up the cotton puffs for me

and asked me kindly to eat

He comes up to my shoulder

His width half my size

But on our backs

He was double that to every one’s surprize

A thoughtful affectionate friendship

Ol Lelan made with me

just the strangest thing

A moth in love with a tree..

He comes up to my shoulder

His width half my size

But he taught me about the impossible

And to never just believe your eyes…
