Love is not when
I look good with you
Or when I get all of the most elegant trinkets out of you
Love is not when
I am no one without you
Or when I savagely destroy myself for not being good enough for you
Love is not when
I compete with you
Or when I try and change you into a sexier version of me
These things are not love
These things are hate.
I’m smart.
I know the difference.
