More than quivers and condoms
To unseat the reigning queen
You’re his Saturday night boredom
time for me to explain some things
He’s my oxygen, glittering jingles
Without him I refuse to breathe
Hyenas are not frightening
All shiny ornaments hang on trees
But today you are fighting back
Pushing hard against the wall
This is China, you wretched mongrels
Nothing you do will make it fall
There is nothing you can offer
Rubbery flesh and late night screams
Where you going, heart in hand?
fruitless commandeering schemes
My love races through his veins
You’re all invisible like washed stains
Nowhere around here for you to lay claim
Disposable lovers, penny arcades
Shiny baubles, forgotten names
You can’t sell things that you don’t own
Step into the light, you’re hard to see
Usury often comes in threes
That is all it will ever be
Borrowing, sampling, and sharing
But having him will not happen
Save your tears, its not attractive
Many stunt doubles, just one actress
Rub his skin, you’re just a mattress
We both know you won’t survive
How much I hate these sad goodbyes
The queen will kindly make it clear
Take my growling as sincere
The roar is not what you should fear
Hightail it the hell up out of here
I will fight for him to death
With my last outrageous breath
Once available a limited time
His heart and soul have become mine
This was always a one woman show…
More than arrows and Cupid’s bow
