I’ve tried to slither away through any crack in the surface
But he turns the light on and finds me
I’ve tried to manipulate the lighting on the exit sign
But he faces me so he doesn’t have to squint at the neon
I’ve tried cursing and fussing and crying lots of tears
But he just kisses the streaks off my face
And as much as I try not to love him
He keeps right on loving me anyway…
