The fire of it
Its on my tongue and on my skin
Its searing my hair
It’s melting my clothes
It’s burning through my emotions
My tears aflame
It’s igniting nations
It’s baking my lungs and eyes
It’s hurting me through and through
It’s incinerating the fabric of humanity
Everyone is to blame
But I can’t seem to find the fire hose
And I can’t seem to let the matches go….
