Tell the truth and do not lie

Its okay to tattle tale
Now or later, school or home
Its not okay to hurt you
So don’t go through it all alone

You didn’t mean to leave your bike
Or forget your backpack on the stair

Even kids should be treated fair

Find a safe place when you can
to explain what you went through
Its not your fault anyone hurts you
that’s not what family is supposed to do

Wounds will heal and tears will dry
be brave enough to get away
