Before, I said I did but I couldn’t.
And you were working things out…
Then, I promised I would…but I lied.
And you were working things out…
Now, I really have to and as much as I don’t want to, its the adult thing to do.
The right thing.
So, I’m not going to keep saying that I will somehow, someday.
While you work things out…
Unfinished is unattractive.
While you work things out…
Dangling is the same as clinging.
Bout time I worked things out…
I’m mad but I can handle the loss
much better than I can handle any more hope
Bout time I worked things out…
Can’t come back if I won’t ever let it go, you know?
And you ran that line, see you next time,
Always worked before…
Unfinished is unattractive.
While you work things out…
Dangling is the same as clinging.
Before, I said I did but I couldn’t.
And Now, I have to….
To bid adieu

I caught the repeating lines but is this a poetic form or just something you created yourself? Repetition is always a wonderful device, draws attention, and this poem uses it to great advantage. I really liked it.

At this stage of the game, Instead of following actual poetic form I have decided to modify it to suit my own needs. Great artists steal as they say. I use this repeating line for emphasis on certain pieces. Maybe in one hundred years, it will be named after me 🙂
