Old Hat

OLD HAT

What can you say about it that hasn’t already been said?

Nothing.
But we appear to be designed in such a way
that whatever we focus on becomes our reality.
We create everything with our own minds.
So what is it about love that I could tell you that would be new?
Nothing.
But I can remind you, every day all day long until your real nature
and your second one become one, once again
Til you see what I see in you and then in me again
What can I do about it that hasn’t been done?
That the necessity of the sun’s warmth for survival

Is ancient
Without the air in our lungs we cease to be
What can I tell you that you haven’t heard?
You are my sun ray
You are the final gust propelling me forward
You are life force too but you knew right? You know…
So what is it about my love for you that would be new?
Nothing.
But I can remind you that you’re my reality
I’ll keep dusting you off and telling you, my love is older than air
I’ll keep soaking in your rays and thanking you
We create everything with our own minds.
This is why you are here because I need you
Its nothing new
And that’s why I don’t have anything else to say…
Lest you forget…
