The Angry Cookie Jar

When you are empty, all you say you want is to be filled to capacity
When there is no room in you, there is no room for you to grow
When I look inside and turn my nose up your heart breaks
When I devour everything in you, your hollowness is ignored
You act as a decoration when I revitalize my life and reconfigure aspirations
You act as a tempter when I dress in sparkly weakness
I disown you when you have nothing left to offer
When you are empty, you have a whole lot of of shit to prove
When there is no room in you, there is no way for you to breathe
When I look inside and sigh of boredom you turn a putrid gray
When I devour everything in you, you pray I return some day
You act as a friend and enemy depending on my reflection
You act as an excuse and a reason when no one else is looking at you
When I hate you, you love me and when I love you, you hate yourself
I put you on the shelf proudly for all to see until you change me
Then somehow, accidentally, you get broken and thrown away…
