And that’s how bad habits start.
You’re emotional.
Someone notices.
Someone pretends to help.
Someone makes an offer.
You accept.
You know better but you’re not practical.
You know better but you’re not rational.
You know better but you’re not logical.
They promise.
You don’t believe but you’re willing.
You’ve always been willing.
Next thing you know they are gone.
Next thing you know you are keeping this new vice because time has been invested.
It reminds you of when you and them were something.
Now you’re emotional and hooked.
Now you need it and can’t control yourself.
You hold onto it because someone, that someone, your someone gave it to you for comfort.
It reminds you of when you and them were something.
You lie to yourself.
You get high to hang onto yourself.
And because of this now you disappoint yourself.
You’re emotional.
You’ve always been willing.
It reminds you of when you and them were something.
And that’s how bad habits burrow into your heart.
