Living it up in hellish landscapes

I won’t be here forever
designing meaning to irrelevancy
realizing that we’re not friends
and yet just not enemies
wandering arm in arm with strangers
face to face with dangers
upending every single thing
death is a reminder
to appreciate every breath I breathe
trying to not cause harm
is the human’s proof he’s otherworldly
as nature itself is violent atrophy
listening to lame boy’s advances
steadily taking ridiculous chances
hoping against hope that it is all not just suffering
is the drama dramatic enough
to remember it past today?
is the kiss empathetic enough
to make me want the person behind it to stay?
nothing and nothing and nothing
its the basis of every single thing
I won’t be here forever
designing meaning to irrelevancy
realizing that we’ve never been friends
and we’re just not yet enemies…
