I used to try a lot harder
back when I was trying to fashion things
after the things that I found interesting
made by other minds and hands and hearts
shit I just happened to run across
and loved as much as one who didn’t create it could
and honestly, I was a better craftsperson then
You have to be when you are imitating
and therefore mocking
other people’s shit with your praise and emulating
but now
today
everything I do is raw and still infused and gravel tasting and trippy and new
to the entire scene
there’s nothing else on this earth that is exactly like me, so mean,
who can make what I make, who can move who I can move
so deeply,
so deeply through and through
that those motherfuckers start copying the shit that I do
and quite frankly, I gotta feeling its fucking coming soon
even if I won’t be around to see it
I don’t have to…
All I need to do is
produce
what feels like to them
a shareable truth
without fucking trying
